Journey inside the Indian Railways...!!
Welcome all after a long gap of time.
As always I am here to share some of the social issues I came across travelling
some parts of northern India. Today I am not gonna share anything based on the
emotions or any issues related to our society. In this I am going to share the
condition of our Indian railways which is also known to be the heart of our
country.
Actually I was travelling from Jammu
Station to Katra station in J&K. We bought a ticket of general class as the
distance was too short. Train was coming from Lucknow and the final destination
was katra. When the train arrived at the jammu plateform, the general coach was
overloaded to that extend that you cannot even stand on your both foots. Many
of the passengers were overloaded in the bathrooms/toilets (whose windows were
half broken). So I and my family decided to travel in the sleeper class
reserved coach. Which too was filled up by many unreserved passengers. TTE came
and asked for the Rs. 350 per passenger to my father. As we were 4 so the total
becomes Rs. 1400 which legally go to the Indian railways. But later he told to
pay only Rs. 400 for 4 of us and that money will go directly to his pocket. No
challan, No record…!! This is the condition of our so called Indian railways.
Every govt. body from bottom to up wants to consume more and more money and
provide least facility.
Many a times we travel in a non-ac
coach. We come across many poor guys cleaning the dirty floor of the train, and
then they ask for money from the passengers. And we as the rich fellows and
from higher section of the society ignores them. Actually I appreciate their
work. At least they are performing their work which is actually given to the
Indian railways to clean the train. These poor guys are the only ones who
actually keep your train floors clean after every interval of station and which
is the work of the Indian railways…. I clicked some pics of a guy doing his
work sincerely and not getting paid. I used the word paid coz he is performing
the duty of Indian railways. Which actually railways are not providing to the
passengers.
