Hi all,
this post is on my views for the Engineers who transformed into Bankers. This is
my personal view which might conflict your views. So just read this one as my
points of view not as my frustration towards Bankers.
We live in a country where Engineering is the only Degree through which you can transform to anything (ignoring some exceptions like Medical field). When I was in college and especially in First Year, I heard in some of my friend’s introductions that they joined Engineering to become one successful Engineer in some Top MNC’s. And also in my Final Year I saw many of my batch mates trying crack as many as On-Campus and Off-Campus interviews, so to get higher and higher package. But at the end of Fourth Year they need some govt. job which is secure and near to Hometown. Earlier these were the only guys who were very eager to shift to Metro cities and work in some Tech Park and in Top MNC’s. That’s why nowadays the value of Engineering Degree is depleting. Now in Banks more than 50% employees are from Engineering background. I wanna ask a simple question to all the “Engineers who became Bankers” that If your passion was Banking then why you choose Engineering instead you should have done B.COM or B.A.
My point is simple if you want to be a Banker then please don’t join Engineering. Nowadays, when I see some of my Friend’s statuses on Facebook who are Bankers I can’t stop laughing. Because it’s like banking is my Passion. Banking is my blah blah blah…..!!! Guys please come out of your comfort zone and if u can’t then don’t join engineering ruin it’s value. Banking is an awesome Job but for those who are really passionate about it not for those who choose Banking as the last, comfort and secure option.
And my last request to all “Engineers who became Bankers”, please stop showing your Banking passion on social Medias. As I have seen may Bankers posting this Status on Facebook as “We the Bankers working 24*7 even on Sundays” during this Demonetisation period. Have you ever seen any worker from any MNC’s posting like “Working on Sundays…… n all”. Dear Bankers, if you really have lot of work then you were not showing that on Facebook by posting so. These are mainly the Youth Bankers who earlier were Engineers. That’s all from my side. I know Some “Engineers who became Bankers” will not like this post neither the ones who are preparing for Govt. or Banking Jobs.
