Do your problems really count....???
A Simple question to all the readers…… Whenever you visit a public park or any tourist spot, you come across some group of children asking for money all the time…. So the question for you is… what you usually call them?? A beggar – bikhari or a poor child …???
Let me keep it very simple…. Most of you call them a beggar…!! Have you ever thought what’s the difference between a beggar and a poor child…?? The difference lies in your mentality and way of thinking towards them…. If you perceive them as a poor child then you lie in 20% part of the population otherwise you are in other 70% part….. Actually rest 10% don’t bother about these issues.
Nowadays our government and other associations are trying to raise the annual income of the country by pushing this country’s “developing” status to “developed” status. I used the word “pushing” because we are trying to develop at the cost of people’s life…… If you really can understand the quote- “Richer are getting richer and poor are getting poorer” and match the status of quote with the status of this country then they are synonymous to each other…!!
The point I am discussing this topic is that we the middle class people after some or the other failure, blames the god or someone else…..!! Calm down.....And think… do your problems really count in front of the problems of these poor children…. The answer is NO…
A SHORT STORY…….!!
Let me tell a story that I have encountered in winter , last year on 31st December, yeah.. A New Year eve… I was driving around 10 P.M. I stopped at the Traffic indicator; it was another 40 seconds left on the display… A lady with a child of approx. 6 months in her hand came towards me and asked for some money for food to feed her child and rest for herself… I usually don’t give money to “poor” guys on roads instead I provide them with some eatables from nearby shops…. But that time at sharp 10:30 P.M there were not much shops around …. So I gave her some amount of money, so that, that lady can feed her baby and herself too….!!
So at end I just wanna say… don’t curse your destiny or luck for every situation… whenever you fail or feel depressed…. Just recall the face the last “poor” guy you encountered…!! And our country needs to focus on these aspects too… instead of only representing our nation in other countries…!!
